Survivor 09

I'm attempting the contest once more after a taking a break in 08. I don't have any delusions that I'm going to win. I simply wanted something to help motivate me to write more. I have readers begging for me to finish The Pack, Breeder, and Earth Bride. Those stories are up first. I'm working on the next chapter of "The Pack" right now. The existing three chapters on Literotica are being taken down and will be slightly revised and resubmitted as one chapter in the Novels & Novellas category. The chapter I am working on now will be Chapter 02. The same thing will be occurring with the other two series as well.

I'm going to try my best to update this blog more often and write about stuff going on in my life and not just talk about writing stuff. So stay tuned!

New stories and a publishing venture

I've been re-submitting some older stories that were submitted to Literotica under another ID. Of course, because of the new voting system, I'm not getting as good a rating as I once did. So far, all three stories I have resubmitted (all of which, had scores of 4.56 or higher when they were up previously) have scores 0.25-0.50 points lower, which means none have that coveted red H.

On another note, some literotica authors have gotten together and decided to start a publishing venture called eXcessica. There will be short stories up to longer novels up for sale on the eXcessica site along with Fictionwise. I will have stuff up soon under the pen name, Savannah Reardon.

It's been a long time since I've posted here. I ended up placing 5th in the 2007 Survivor Contest. My muse gave up on me about halfway through the year, and I only wrote one story after July. I guess coming in 5th is pretty good considering I stopped writing about halfway through the contest. I haven't had as much time to write also because I had to go back to work. Sometimes, life really sucks, but there's nothing you can do about it. You've just got to do what you've got to do and hope that things will turn around in the future.

Survivor 2007

Okay, so it's been a long time since I've updated my blog. I didn't do a huge amount of writing in 2006, but I'm coming back with a vengeance in 2007. My goal for this year is to win the Survivor contest at Literotica, which means there will be lots of new stories.

So far, this year, I have written in over 30 of the categories found at Lit. My newest story is the first chapter of a novella titled, Porn World. Check my submissions page for other new releases.

I just haven't really been writing. I've got way too much going on at the moment. For details on what's got me so busy, you can go here. I'm going to keep my writing updates here at blogspot and do my personal stuff over there.

I have written some on the next chapter of The Devotee. I figure I need to try and finish up those storylines that I've left hanging. Can't promise how quick or long it will be though. Just all depends on if I have time and motivation to write. I'm sorely lacking in both at the moment.

No, I haven't disappeared into the wild blue yonder. I've been busy lately with sick kids and birthdays, etc. I don't have any new stories posted, but I am (sort of) working on a story. It's shaping up to be one of my longest ones in awhile. I'm on the eighth Word page, and I'm nowhere near the end. I think I may try to do some shorter "strokish" type pieces while I work on the bigger story. That way, at least, I'll have some new stuff up while I'm working on the longer story.

I just have no motivation to write, which I guess isn't much of a problem since I have no ideas either.

That's what I feel like I'm doing these days. Here, home, everywhere.

Headaches suck. I have had one every day straight for... I don't know... weeks. Makes being awake uncomfortable to say the least.

Still haven't written anything new (except for poems) for Lit since the Star Wars spoof (which hasn't posted yet.) I don't know if I have writer's block or what. I can't think of a good idea to save my life.

I'm feeling kind of adrift these days. My best friend, with whom I am used to chatting on a regular basis (we live in different areas of the U.S.), had to go back to work because of money and health problems in her family. So of course that means less chatting for us. In fact, I've barely gotten to talk to her since she started. I know she's doing what she has to, and I totally understand that. I just miss her. Boing, Boing, Boing in honor of my non-biological twin.

Yep... for those of you who have read that series, the idea came from a conversation I had with my best friend. We joked one night that we just needed a sugar daddy to take care of us. It's a running joke between us that if it weren't for the different parents and age thing, we could be twins. We'll say the same thing at the same time and then say, "It's that twin thing again."

So after the sugar daddy comment, I threw out "non-biological twins seek sugardaddy" and a story was born. Maybe that's why I can't come up with anything to write. My sounding board is absent. She's helped me come up with a bunch of ideas. Oh well, I'm whining, and she has more important things to worry about than my lack of ideas and missing our chats. Love ya A and hope you get that much needed break in luck very soon.

Looks like I've gotten as many votes as I'm going to get on the pen name. Savannah Reardon managed to stay ahead of the pack votes wise. I think all of the choices got at least one. Avery Raines came in at a close second. I think I am going to go with Savannah though. There's just something about that name I really like. Plus, the "rear" in Reardon is a nice subtle jab at the genre I'm writing.

It's only 8:47 in the morning, and I already have a smashing headache. They are getting tiresome. I've had one every day for the last several days it seems. I don't know if this one comes from being woke up at 5:00 am because one of my sons was crying or if it's something else.

Going to have to take said little one to the doctor today. He's run a fever all weekend, so he needs to get checked out. Of course, the doctor I want him to see doesn't have any openings available for new patients. He's a new patient everywhere. I'm blessed with kids with good health, so anytime they need to go to the doctor, it's been years since they've been. Since I can't take him where I want, I'm going to see if the urgent care clinic sees children.

I'm going to cut this post short. Blogger is acting up and I can't see half of what I'm typing until several seconds later. It's annoying.

Sex Wars

Princess Laid lounged on the silver platform that served as a bed and seat in the tiny cell. Darth Anal’s forces had captured her ship as it was headed to the new Rebel base camp. Luckily her officers had been able to wipe the navigation computer’s banks clean before the Bone Troopers converged upon the bridge.

She hoped for rescue before Darth Anal could complete his mission. If her forces heard the distress signal, they should have been able to lock onto her last known location and find her. She rose from the platform and paced around the small room. Time was quickly running out. Her men had to show up soon, or the Empire would score a victory for their side.

Stepping back when the doors switched open, she felt disappointment as Darth Anal strode into the room, his black suit fitting snugly around his body. Her eyes flicked downward, and she discovered there was no mistaking his intentions. The noticeable bulge in the black fabric told her all she needed to know about his arrival.

“Princess Laid, I told you our next meeting would not be in your favor.”

“You haven’t won this one yet.”

“Oh, but I have.” A seam hid a silver zipper, and he slid it down, freeing his hard cock.

Princess Laid’s eyes widened and her mouth fell open as she gazed upon the massive organ sprouting from the open slit in the pants. “Well, Lord Anal, that’s quite an impressive saber you have there.”

Just a small excerpt from "Sex Wars", my spoof of Star Wars. There's still a battle between the Rebels and the Empire, but this time, it's to see which side can get laid the most. Future episodes will tell the adventures of other characters in their quest for the most sex.

I'm not sure what's coming up next. For the last two days, I've sat with my laptop open and Word up, the cursor blinking, but I can't come up with anything to write. Anyone who has a story idea they want to see, feel free to stick it in the comments or send me an email.

I have three new poems up. Poems always get posted quicker than stories. I guess it's because there are fewer to wade through. Last time I checked, the Furry Love story still hadn't even gotten viewed. I suspect Laurel and Manu are busy trying to get November and December's Reader's Choice awards done so they can announce the finalists for the end of the year awards for each category. The Awakening of a Slut story has also been submitted. It's the last chapter in that series as the story of Becky comes to a close.

Rain, Thunder, and Lightning, Oh My!

So there's a line of severe thunderstorms moving through the South right now. Oh joy. Did someone forget to tell the atmosphere that it's freaking January??!! We aren't supposed to have this kind of weather right now. It's supposed to be cold. Instead, I'm sitting here seeing lightning outside my windows and hearing thunder booming loud enough to rattle doors inside my house. No watches or warnings yet, but it's only a matter of time.

For the last few years, April has been the month to be afraid of. I think we've had a tornado do damage here during that month every year for awhile now. This past year had been wacky to say the least. We had the normal Twister April, but we also had a heat wave during November that sparked some doozy storms. Luckily, no tornadoes spawned during those, but the conditions were right for one. Now, it's the middle of January, it's midnight... and it's 56 degrees outside.

Where's the 30 degree weather we are supposed to have this time of year? I mean, I know snow is too much to hope for, but usually, it's at least cold.

I hate this place. I cannot wait to get out of Tornado Alley. It'll happen soon... I hope.

And guess what? The power went out while I was writing this post. Luckily, I was on the laptop on battery power but of course, no internet, so this will be posted when it comes back on. The bad thing is, now I don't have tv to watch the radar. If it gets really bad and the power is still out, I'll have to see if I have batteries for the radio. I guess a limb landed on a power line... or something. It's not storming bad enough for the wind to have knocked the power out.

Okay guys, I know alot of you liked the combination, Savannah Raines. So do I. Unfortunately, if you look it up on Google, you discover there is already an author by that name. Hence the reason for the post asking your thoughts. I'm horrible at coming up with names, and since my first choice couldn't be, I needed help.

FYI, I don't live in Savannah, so having it as a first name wouldn't be a problem.

Also, I thought I'd give you a small sneak peak into the story I am working on now, Awakening of a Slut.

Grabbing hold of her waist, he lifted her off him and pushed her back onto the couch. He covered her body with his and resumed the passionate kiss. Her legs wrapped around him, and she ground herself against him as their tongues danced together. Grasping the hem of her shirt, he yanked it up to her shoulders and released her mouth long enough to jerk it over her head and throw it onto the hardwood floor. His soft lips trailed down her hot skin. Finding the pulse at the base of her neck, he lingered there, licking the throbbing flesh as it beat in time with her heart. She moaned as his lips found purchase on her skin and sucked it hard between them.

Her back arched as a streak of heat flashed through her body. When he moved on, he left a reddening mark on her skin, a sign of his passion. The swell of her breasts couldn’t be fully contained by the cups of her lacy bra, and he ran his tongue along the edge of the material, leaving a wet trail on her skin. Without bothering to unhook the bra, he tugged the straps over her shoulders and yanked the garment down so that her breasts spilled free.

So... sometime in 2006 I hope to get brave enough to submit something to an online publisher. I'm thinking I'll start small first and then try for something bigger later (I do have a couple of novel/novella length stories.) In order to do this, I need a pen name. I want something that sounds professional but isn't so stiff that it could stand on its own in a cup of coffee.

I'll throw a few of my ideas out there and then you can throw your suggestions in when you comment. Once I get several, I'll make a poll and let you vote on your favorite. Keep in mind that along with professional sounding, I want it to be unique... so if it's plugged into Google, it won't bring back a huge number of hits.

Welcome to Vix's Veranda

I've been thinking for some time about creating a place where my readers can come to get information on new stories and finally decided to go ahead and make a blog for that purpose. I'll post links to newly posted stories on Literotica and also give you a head's up when I have new stories in the works.

2005 ended with a bang as I submitted several stories in a flurry in order to attempt to finish second in the Literotica Survivor Contest. I succeeded. :) I wasn't sure if I wanted to participate in 2006's contest, but I figured, what the hell. I'm not sure that I'll do near as well or submit near as many stories, but only time will tell on that one.

I've started off 2006 with a couple of new poems:
